Hello everyone, today I will show you how to create an audio recording using ChatterPix. ChatterPix is an app that can be used on both iOS and Android devices. What I like about ChatterPix is that it's super easy to use for learners of all ages. Students don't need an account to use this app. The first thing I will do is look for the ChatterPix app on my iPad. There it is. Welcome to ChatterPix. Once I'm in the app, I will select the option to take a photo. Although the camera will appear, I don't want to use a picture for this task. I want to use a picture of an animal that I have previously chosen and saved in my picture gallery. By clicking on this icon at the bottom left of your screen, you will enter your picture gallery, and you can select the picture that you want to use. For this task, I'll use this Scarlet Macaw. Now that I've chosen my picture, I will click on "Next" at the top right of your screen. This is the most important part. You have to draw a line where the mouth will move. In this case, it might be a little more complicated because it's a beak, but we'll try it anyway. With my finger, I will come and trace where I want the mouth to move. Only when this line has been drawn will my microphone be available. So, I'll record in 3, 2, 1, go. "Hi, I'm Miss Scarlet Macaw. I live in the rainforest." Once the student is done recording, he can click on "Next" again. He can decide to add stickers, depending on the task, to his animal, a frame, or text. When he's done, he clicks on "Next" again. Now, I can listen to my recording and see if I like the result. "Hi, I'm Miss Scarlet Macaw. I live in the rainforest." So, you see, maybe I've drawn the line a little too low, so it doesn't open at the right place, but you will probably be better than me at drawing your little line. Now that my production is finished, I will save it to the camera roll. Once the export is complete, the student can airdrop their work to you, or they can upload it to your learning platform. I hope this was helpful.
