1.1 Prepare students to read, view, or listen to texts
Preparing Students
It is essential to prepare students to read texts so they are ready when they construct meaning and eventually reinvest their understanding.
Taking the time to prepare students by building background knowledge, presenting key vocabulary and setting a purpose is essential for their success. It is especially important for students that aren’t familiar with the topic and language.
We want to help students learn as they develop their competency in order to set them up for success.
